One of the most important considerations in determining where to live in the USA is the crime, or lack thereof, in the neighbourhood, city or state in which you plan to reside. The safer the neighbourhood, the more inclined people would be to live there.
Our interactive crime heat maps are grouped into nine categories. Click on the category name to see individual crime heat map.

- Murder and non-negligent manslaughter

- Aggravated assault
- Property crime
- Motor vehicle theft
Each heat map category displays interactive map of crime data across the country. Each state on the map is color-coded to represent the values based on volume of certain crime in a hierarchy.
You can also download latest records of US crime rates, grouped by law enforcement agency (e.g. Police Department or Sheriff Office). Total 4,384 records for all 50 states and the federal district. All of the above nine crime categories are included. For comparison purpose, local population count is added in the data pack. In total, there are 13 fields in the CSV file.
